“You know me, I think there ought to be a big old tree right there. And let’s give him a friend. Everybody needs a friend.” -Bob Ross-

It all began on a Summer day on Saint Simons Island in Georgia. I was visiting with my family, and saw these magnificent and historical old trees, each one unique, and beautiful with their twisted long branches and limbs. I proceeded to take many photographs of these memorable trees, some short with limbs so long they touched the ground, some with windswept trees by the shore. I was truly inspired, and this experience, had me drawing and sketching out ideas right away. Each painting starts with a sketch, that is then transferred to a painted background, and then carefully outlined with paint, and illuminated with lights, and enhanced with color.
